3 calls for help
I have recently received three calls for help. Here they are in one posting:
1. Molly is a journalist who writes for ooVooworld, the unofficial WOM world for the free video conferencing tool, ooVoo.
Molly writes:
"I am looking for case studies of tutors and teachers using this ooVoo for e-learning - especially now this kind of high quality video conferencing, previously reserved for big business, makes free video conferencing for the average home user effective rather than just irritating.
Have you come across this and do you think it is a viable or good idea? Do you know anyone with experience or opinions in this? It would be great to start a debate about the place of this new technology in the future of long distance and e-learning. Email me at molly@oovooworld.com"
2. Madelina, at Intuitext, is looking for collaborators
Madelina writes:
"Are you from the UK or US? Do you have teaching experience in science or geography? Are you looking for a product which best suits your needs? Are you interested in creating an educational product just the way you always need it to be?
If your answer was YES to all three questions, YOU ARE THE ONE we are looking for. By working with us you will have the chance to put into practice all your knowledge, thoughts and ideas that you might have on this field.
We are now developing a new product which is called Intuitext Repository. It is a website which contains useful teaching resources for science and geography. The website was created in order to help teachers during their teaching activities. You can register for free in order to have full access to the website and to make yourself an opinion about the present state of affairs.
Please contact us on this email address, mbelcin@intuitext.ro, to find out more about the collaboration details."
3. Jody is looking for telecollaboration opportunities
Jody writes:
"My name is Jody Shpur and I am a teacher in the Calgary Board of Education (Alberta, Canada) working with a number of schools around the concept of the 21st Century Learner. Working with teams to uncover enduring understandings in our curriculum, I assist classroom teachers to entertain and engage in instructional strategies facilitated through technology. This would include telecollaborative opportunities with students and teachers from different locations. If there is anyone interested in developing a rapport around ‘possibilities’, please feel free to email me. My contact email is: jkshpur@cbe.ab.ca. Thank you for your time and consideration!"
