25 Tools: A Professional Development Programme

Earlier this month I posted about an article I had written called 25 Tools every Learning Professional should have in their Learning Toolbox - and all for free.
This article has now been accessed many thousands of times and has generated a lot of interest, including requests for its use for professional development purposes. As it happens I was already working on a resource based around these 25 tools, so launched it quietly on my website a few weeks ago whilst I continued to develop it.
The programme is intended for anyone working in formal
education, in workplace learning or
professional development who wants to broaden
their horizons in terms of the technologies and tools available for
learning and performance support in a very practical way by getting to grips
with some key tools - all of which are FREE.
Behind each of the 25 Tools lies an Activity that comprises a number of tasks to help participants find out more about the technology, the tool itself and why it is so popular, guidance on how to use the tool as well as reflect on its application for teaching, learning and for productivity and performance support. There is also a Community where participants can share thoughts and experiences about the tools
It's free to join up for personal use, although participants will need a username and password to access the site. (I had hoped to make it completely open but I have already had some rogue users on the site so unfortunately have had to put some barriers in place).
Anyway, a number of people have now signed up to the programme so I thought it was time to publicise it more widely. Development and expansion of the activities and resources will however continue.
Additionally if any organisation (in business or education) wants to use it for their own internal staff development purposes, a customised version is available with a dedicated community, for a small charge.
