Item number 7 on the number of Internet Service Providers in various nations is striking, especially the disparity between the United States (7,000) and China (3). So much for the talk about what a vast market China is! Sure there are over a billion people, but their information is funneled through a verrrry narrow filter. It puts the Google-China kerfuffle in a new light.
Item number 11 on the rate of adoption of radio, television and the Internet may be partially explained by the world population at the time each was introduced, and (to a lesser degree) the underlying availability of electricity. But still amazing numbers--and a wonderfully informative graphic.
