Google for Educators

This is an interesting new initiative for teachers. Google for Educators is a site that supports teachers' use of Google products - there are 12 basic guides already there, as well as lesson plans and videos.

As the site says: "We think of this site as a platform of teaching resources – for everything from blogging and collaborative writing to geographical search tools and 3D modeling software – and we want you to fill it in with your great ideas."

If you are in the US you can also find out how to be a Google Certified Teacher in the pilot program, Google Teacher Academy, taking place at Google Headquarters in California.
