Over the last couple of months I have been producing a number of presentations on the subject of Social Learning. This included the first 2 in a 3-part series 1: The future of e-learning is social learning and 2: Using Elgg as a social learning platform, as well as a couple of presentations entiitled A closer look at using a social media platform in HE and in the worksplace. You can view all these presentations in one place here.
This presentation - Supporting formal and informal social learning - is the 3rd in the 3-part series, and looks at some of the people issues involved in implementing a social approach to learning.
This presentation only touches on these issues, so for more detail and further resources about Social Learning, do visit the growing Social Learning section of my website.
I was interested to see how much text each slide has, something I have been brainwashed by Business English skills books to tell me students never to do. Is that because nowadays we expect people to read the slides with no presenter online afterwards almost as much as attend the presentation, I wonder?

Alex, although the first two presentations in the series do have much less text on them, this third one does have much more. However, bear in mind that the presentations are intended to be stand-alone - ie not delivered physically by me!
