Barbara wrote to tell me about this new platform that combines social networking and project-based learning for middle and high school students: "Within uSync students and teachers create an environment for 21st century learning. It meets ISTE standards for both teachers and students".
This is what they have to say about uSync:
"uSync will help you thrive in your community. Start by building your identity with myPage. Next, try your hand with Blogs. Create as many inspirational or thought provoking blogs as you like. There are no limits. Send a note using Messaging. Store your important contacts in the Address Book. Start a class project using Projects. Invite students to participate and let uSync manage the process. The sky is the limit on what you can do with projects. You can create a plan, add contributors, define all the pieces in Resources, pull them together in Elements, and then publish your Project Landing Page for the entire community to see. Finally create an Event to demonstrate your knowledge or rally others to your cause."

Hi Jane-
Thank you for this pick of the day. I went on to their website and requested a demo. I have to say, this exceeded my expectations. This is true realtime evidence base learning. I not only see how students can get evaluated on the end product, but the work in progress as well. This is truly the Platform for 21st century learning. And notice I use the word Platform.
Thank you Jane.
